The Nursery department at Antioch Baptist church is the result of much prayer, research, intense thought, and with specific goals and purpose in mind. We take the verse in 2Timothy 3:15 as our theme and inspiration for working with the precious little ones that God brings to us. We believe even the infants can benefit from hearing the sweet rhythm and flow of Scripture as it is read and they can begin to learn and enjoy the Bible choruses and children's songs. We have little ones in the Nursery class who, although they cannot as yet talk, obviously recognize the songs and in their own little sweet baby way participate in the singing of the songs. The Beginner class is for the toddler age. They have a Bible lesson, songs and activities which the children all enjoy participating in.

We have a Sunday school session and a WeeCare session for the infants (Nursery class) up to age 18 months and for the toddlers (Beginners class) who are 18 months up to three years of age.

We have the Sunday school session at 10 AM every Sunday morning and the WeeCare session begins at 11 AM and again at 6:30 PM every Sunday. Mothers who are potty training their little ones may sit in the library downstairs and view the service by way of closed circuit TV and this will allow them to be close to the restrooms.

Visitors and members alike will find our Nursery department to be exceptionally clean and pleasant. The toys are age appropriate and have been thoroughly checked each week for safety and cleanliness. All of our Nursery Nannies (the workers) are members of our church and are carefully chosen and trained. We do not permit any of our Nannies to check or to change a child's diaper or to take them to the restroom. We will call the mother to the Nursery department if a diaper change or restroom break is needed during the WeeCare session. We have found that parents and little ones are much more comfortable if one of his or her parents takes care of these needs.
