False
Science
-
1 Timothy 6:20 O Timothy, keep
that which is committed to thy trust, avoiding profane and
vain babblings, and oppositions of science falsely
so called:
The Bible warns us that oppositions
to God and his Word will come from "false science": The "big
bang" and
"evolution" are blatantly false so called "theoretical
sciences" (pagan imaginations) that destroy the minds of our
youth.
The Bible makes it clear that the
heavens declare the glory of God, not some accidental cosmic
burp, and the firmament (earth) shows His handywork, not the
accumulation of unimaginably improbable accidents over great
periods of time.
Vain
Imaginations
21
Because that, when they knew God, they glorified him not as
God, neither were thankful; but became vain in their
imaginations, and their foolish heart was darkened.
22 Professing
themselves to be wise, they became fools,
23
And changed the glory of the uncorruptible God into an image
made like to corruptible man, and to birds, and fourfooted
beasts, and creeping things.
24
Wherefore God also gave them up to uncleanness through the
lusts of their own hearts, to dishonour their own bodies between
themselves:
25 Who
changed the truth of God into a lie, and worshipped and
served the creature more than the Creator,
who is blessed for ever. Amen.
A
man once said: "God created us in his image, and we returned
the favor". The Bible says there will be those who profess
great wisdom, but will become utter fools. Science, the great
god of this day, focuses its worship on the creature, not the
Creator, and all this from the vain imaginations of men.
Man's
Wisdom
God
has a great deal to say about man's wisdom:
19 For
it is written, I will destroy the wisdom of the wise,
and will bring to nothing the understanding of the prudent.
20
Where is the wise? where is the scribe? where is the disputer
of this world? hath not God made foolish the wisdom
of this world?
21
For after that in the wisdom of God the world by wisdom
knew not God, it pleased God by the foolishness
of preaching to save them that believe.
22
For the Jews require a sign, and the Greeks seek after wisdom:
23
But we preach Christ crucified, unto the Jews a stumblingblock,
and unto the Greeks foolishness;
24
But unto them which are called, both Jews and Greeks, Christ
the power of God, and the wisdom of God.
25
Because the foolishness of God is wiser than men;
and the weakness of God is stronger than men.
26
For ye see your calling, brethren, how that not many
wise men after the flesh, not many mighty, not
many noble, are called:
27
But God hath chosen the foolish things of the world
to confound the wise; and God hath chosen the weak
things of the world to confound the things which are mighty;
28
And even as they did not like to retain God in their knowledge, God
gave them over to a reprobate mind, to do those
things which are not convenient;
Yes,
God says He has made man’s wisdom foolish and will destroy it.
The world did not even know God when He came in the flesh due
to
"man's wisdom". The Bible says that God chose the foolish
things of this world to confound (make bewilderingly confused)
the wise of this world. Did you know God only dedicated 1 chapter
out of 1189 chapters in the Bible on the creation. Such is foolishness
to Him. Those that reject God's Word (as many so-called Christians
have today) are turned over to a reprobate (totally depraved) mind,
and the reprobate mind will be confounded by what God considers
foolish, such is His will.

Atheist
says he's been booted from Boy Scouts
Darrell
Lambert of Port Orchard, Washington holds the termination letter
he received in the mail on November 6, 2002 from the Chief Seattle
Council of the Boy Scouts of America revoking Lambert's registration
as an adult scout leader. Lambert's membership has been rejected
by the regional scouting executive after Lambert revealed in
October that he was an atheist.
SEATTLE
- A teenage atheist said he has been kicked out of the Boy Scouts
for refusing to declare a belief in a higher power.
Darrell
Lambert said he was told of the decision earlier Monday by the
Chief Seattle Council, the Scouts' regional governing body.
"Am
I bitter? No. Disappointed? Yeah," he said. "We're
in the 21st century. Our country was founded on religious freedom,
and the Boy Scouts of America are still discriminating."
Lambert
said he plans to appeal the decision within the Scouting council
within the required 60 days. He is a top-ranked Eagle Scout with
37 merit badges.
On
membership applications, Boy Scouts and adult leaders must say
they recognize a higher power, although not necessarily a religious
one.
As
a private organization, the Boy Scouts can bar anyone it chooses
from membership. The organization's ban on gay leaders was upheld
by the Supreme Court in 2000.
Lambert,
19, said he has been an atheist since ninth grade, when he concluded
that science had disproved the accounts of creation given in
the Bible.
He
had declared his atheism to the Scout leaders overseeing his
Eagle Scout application last year, but was still granted the
award.
"They
commended me on my honesty," he said.
What
about you? Do you trust in the "wisdom of men", or
the
"wisdom of God"?
