Introduction: It is not what you know, it is not who you know, it is who your father is. The Bible is a book of genealogy (Matthew 1:1; Genesis 5:1). Throughout, your family line makes all the difference.

       I. The Family Line of Jesus Christ

              A. The Seed of the Woman (Genesis 3:15; Isaiah 7:14; Galatians 4:4)

              B. The Seed of Shem (Genesis 9:26)

              C. The Seed of Abraham (Genesis 22:18; Galatians 3:16)

              D. The Seed of Judah (Genesis 49:10; Hebrews 7:14)

              E. The Seed of Jesse (Isaiah 11:1, 10)

              F. The Seed of David (2 Samuel 7:16; Luke 1:31-33)

              G. In the City of Bethlehem (Micah 5:2; Matthew 2:4-6)

              H. Not the Seed of Coniah (Jechonias) (Jeremiah 22:24-30; but Matthew 1:11-12)

II. The Father of Jesus Christ

              A. Born of the Holy Ghost (Matthew 1:18-25; Luke 1:34-35)

              B. Knowing God as His Father (Luke 2:49; John 17:1-5)

              C. Having the Blood of God (Acts 20:28; 1 Peter 1:18-19)

III. The Family of Jesus Christ

              A. The Children of the Devil (John 8:44)

              B. The Sons of Jesus Christ (John 1:9-13; 3:3-7)

              C. The Generation of Jesus Christ (Matthew 1:1)

Conclusion
: What about your family line? Who is your father?
