God Destroys Ahithophel’s Counsel

INTRODUCTION: Although things look bad for David at the beginning of this chapter, they begin to change. The key is found in verse 14 where the intent of the Lord is revealed. He plans to bring evil on Absalom; and to do so, He defeats the wise counsel of Ahithophel. We must learn to trust in the same Lord. If God be for us, who can be against us (Romans 8:31)?
