Premillennialism is the doctrinal system teaching that this age will end with the physical return of Jesus Christ to the earth when He sets up a kingdom that will continue for one thousand years. The belief in the thousand year reign comes from a literal acceptance of Revelation 20:1-10.
There is a war that has been raging for thousands of years. You will not read about it in your local newspaper: CNN, ABC, and NBC will not be bringing the updates to your living room. The world tries to ignore it, but truly you are on one side or the other.
Shortly before He drew His last breath, Jesus Christ cried out, “It is Finished”. At that place and time He bore our sins in His body on the tree, became a curse for us and paid the debt for our sins. On the cross He completed all of the physical and spiritual sufferings needed for the salvation of mankind.
Classical dispensational teaching makes a clear distinction between the kingdom of God and the kingdom of heaven as used in the Bible.
Modern historians discount what they term the great man theory of history. By this, they mean the idea that history is moved and directed by great men who make a difference in the outcome of history. To them, men do not make history but history makes men.
