After the record of the miraculous birth of Samuel in chapter one and the praiseful prayer of Hannah in chapter two (1 Samuel 2:1-10), we are introduced to the spiritual famine of this time – which is still the time of the judges.

If that is true then we ought to be able to look at the characteristics of the head in scripture and find that it points to some characteristics of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. Let’s take a look at some of these and see if we can see Jesus.
