This message is about the glories of the latter house and how they compare to the glories of the local church today.
The passage lists the various aspects of the temple as part of this pattern that God had given him. Therefore, the pattern for Solomon’s temple comes from God and must have special spiritual significance.
David turns the kingdom over to Solomon and completes his long and successful reign over the people of God.
As David contemplates the dwelling place of the ark of God, he determines to build a house for the Lord. God, however, puts a halt to David’s plans.
This lesson teaches us about the willingness of God’s people to give to Him when they are in a right relationship with Him. The church at Antioch was a giving church (Acts 11:27-30). The church at Philippi was a giving church (Philippians 4:14-19). We need to be a giving people.<br />
