Some perceive Paul’s teaching about the law’s insufficiency and the fact that we are not under the law to mean that God’s desire is for the New Testament believer to view the law negatively. However, Paul also taught that the law is NOT sin, and that it IS holy, spiritual, and good. Interestingly, Jesus said that His mission was to come to FULFIL the law and Paul taught that we could and should do the same.
From a holy heart comes holy actions and as a result of holy doings come holy feelings. Anything else is a counterfeit holiness.
We read, Job 13:4, of “physicians of no value:” such indeed are all to whom application for remedy is made, besides this heavenly Physician, who never fails to cure such as receive his prescriptions. In what respects Christ is termed a Physician, is to be seen in the following parallel.k
In the King James Bible, the Greek word pascha is translated as Easter in Acts 12:4. Opponents of the King James Bible have often pointed this out as one of the obvious mistakes in this translation. They even come up with this wild tale about how King James insisted that the Christian celebration of Easter be remembered by at least one New Testament mention.
