God sent Jeremiah down to the potter's house to show him some things.  It should not surprise us that God is like the potter in many ways.  This article shows the similarities and distinctions between the two.
Hebrews chapter 10 is in many cases a battlefield for the believers. You choose your side and prepare to battle. Someone gives you your ammunition ahead of time so that you don’t have to think much on your own or consider all of the options. Euthanasia literally means good death. It is also called mercy killing. In the Netherlands where euthanasia has been practiced for years, it is called deliverance. It is advocated by Dr. Kevorkian (Dr. Death) and the Hemlock Society. Recently Oregon passed the first measure in the history of the U.S. to legalize euthanasia (although it has had trouble in the courts). The Bible clearly teaches against the practice of euthanasia.
Ecclesiastes declares the absolute vanity of all things under the sun. Biblical vanity does not refer to an excessive care on good looks. Biblical vanity is emptiness or worthlessness.
There is a war that has been raging for thousands of years.  You will not read about it in your local newspaper:  CNN, ABC, and NBC will not be bringing the updates to your living room.  The world tries to ignore it, but truly you are on one side or the other.
