The cities of refuge were locations where those accused of murder, but innocent, could flee for refuge. Once inside the city, the accused was free from the wrath of the accuser. Not only was this a great blessing to those in the Old Testament, but in Christ we have a refuge that far exceeds the benefits of the cities of refuge.
Jesus Christ is our living example for the godly life. We are to walk like Him. But we are also to allow Him to live in us and through us.
Who will be there? Will children be there? What will it be like?
In this passage we find that Moses has crossed a line with God and will not be able to go into the promised land. What can we learn from Moses' mistake that we might not make the same mistakes.
