This is a story of deliverance from leprosy and is a picture of salvation. It is also a story of how God uses many people to get one person healed.
Mark 8:22-26 gives the only Biblical record of the healing of the blind man of Bethsaida. It is also the only miracle in the life of Christ that is not immediate, for it takes two attempts in order to bring the man perfect sight. What can be the meaning of this?
<em>General revelation</em> is God’s revelation of truth to all men at all times. It comes through means such as circumstances (or God’s providential working in the affairs of men), conscience (the inner knowledge of men), and creation. <em>Special revelation</em> is God’s revelation to special or particular people at special or particular times (Hebrews 1:1).
In order to go to heaven, we need more than a ticket; we must be righteous. How do we get that righteousness?
The men of this world rely on the wrong things. This message tells how useless these things are in finding redemption.
