The covenant of Moab deals more with the heart and the motive of love. We will look at one of the major provisions of the covenant and apply it to our lives.
As Christian’s we really don’t enjoy the idea of chastisement. If I were to ask someone if they want to be more like Christ, it is an easy yes. However, if I were to tell you that one of the ways to become more like Him is through chastisement, all of the sudden it doesn’t sound so good. Perhaps we aren’t as good of Christians as we think ourselves to be.
This Psalm speaks of the presence of the knowledge of God wherever we go. No matter where we find ourselves, we will find that God is “even there”.
God is certainly a God of mercy and love. But He is also a God of judgment. Are you pushing the limits with God? Are you heading for judgment?
In Adam all die, in Christ all are made alive. The question is who is your father?
