Text Version

The Saviour is Born

  • For unto you is born this day in the city of David a Saviour, which is Christ the Lord.
    Luke 2:11

God Chose A Virgin

  • It came to pass, that God sent the angel Gabriel to a virgin named, Mary.
  • God had a job for Mary to do and she was about to find out what it was.
  • Luke 1:30-32 And the angel said unto her, Fear not, Mary: for thou hast found favour with God. And, behold, thou shalt conceive in thy womb, and bring forth a son, and shalt call his name JESUS. He shall be great, and shall be called the Son of the Highest: and the Lord God shall give unto him the throne of his father David:

Conceived of the Holy Ghost

  • God spoke to Joseph and told him what things were going to happen.
  • The Lord Jesus Christ was to be born to redeem His people from their sins.

Journey to Bethlehem

  • There was a tax in the land, so Joseph and Mary had to go to Bethlehem in order to pay.
  • But while they were there, the time came for Mary to give birth to Jesus.

God With Us

  • Behold, a virgin shall be with child, and shall bring forth a son, and they shall call his name Emmanuel, which being interpreted is, God with us.
    Matthew 1:23

No Room For Him

  • They wrapped Him in swaddling clothes and laid Him in a manger for there was no room for them in the inn.

Born to Die

  • Nearly thirty three years later, Mary knelt at the foot of the cross, as the Lord Jesus Christ, gave His life for the sins of whole world.
  • He was born to die, and that’s just what He did, but it didn’t end there for on the third day He arose victorious from the grave.
  • Have you trusted Jesus Christ as your Saviour?
  • One day soon Jesus will come again. Will you be ready?
