The term, elder, has a wider range than the term, bishop. Elder may refer to Old or New Testament offices. It may also refer to men of age, experience, and/or wisdom. Bishop refers to a specific New Testament office.
A man recently told me something interesting that got me to wondering. He said that the New Testament was translated from Aramaic, not only Greek. I had not heard of this. Do you know anything about the New Testament and it's connection with the Aramaic language?
I need a scripture to refer to in regards to voting for earthly
political leaders. I am Baptist however I've been told by the
Jehovah's Witnesses that the Lord does not want us to vote. The Bible does say that we should listen, respect and pray for our leaders. I just can't recall what scripture I found that law in. Please help.
I've been reading the Bible and it says in Matthew that Jesus had 4 brothers and it mentions he had sisters, but it doesn't give their names or how many. I was wondering if you knew what happened to his brothers and sisters and what the sister's names were?
