Even in the Old Testament, much of the relationship between God and His people was based on love. God definitely loved them and they were expected to respond to Him in like kind. Yet, as today, when they began to waver from the Lord, God started getting their second-best. They gave Him the leftovers.

We begin to be comfortable with our salvation and begin to think it is our due. But we were due nothing. We all deserve the lake of fire. Yet, we have a God who specializes in saving the seemingly unsaveable.

We must be ready to follow the words of the living God and to test the prophets by the words of God that have already been given.

A time will come when God’s people will live in peace. This is the time of the thousand-year reign of Christ.

Wherever you are, now is the time to repent and come back to the Lord. Break up that fallow ground and sow in righteousness as you seek the Lord.

As an expression of God’s creative power, the stars cause us to praise the Lord. As an object of worship, the stars lead to destruction. But those who serve God in righteousness will shine as the stars forever. Let us all worship and serve our great Creator.

How great things has God done for you? He wants to do more. Will you bring your soul and your needs to Him? Will you bring to Him a heart of thanksgiving?
