When Jesus is addressing the seven churches in Revelations, he repeats the statement, "to him that overcomes." In Revelation 3:21 Jesus even says, "... to him that overcomes, even as I also overcame..."  My question is; If a person is saved by grace through faith, and the debt is paid in full by the blood of Christ, what is left to overcome? He is calling us to overcome in the same manner as he did, how is that?
What does it mean when Jesus says you must eat my body and drink my blood?
Does the verse Luke 9:62 talk about backsliders in the tense of they were never saved?
Why did Jesus tell Mary not to touch him since he had not ascended to his Father? When did he ascend? Did not he invite Thomas to thrust his hand in his side? I guess I'm looking for the chronological order. Also when did Jesus present the blood to the father? Was it the literal blood that came from his body on the cross?
Just today I saw one article of Christian author saying that all sort of necklaces, ear rings, lip stick, etc. is sinful yet I remember seeing another article where it was saying that the bride was adorned while marrying. Could you please provide Biblical verses and wholesome comments?
Are the Old Testament Saints still in heaven? If God comes back for the second time for us, are we going to meet this people, or are they no more existing?
My question is, why do people call the Bible the Word of God when it is clearly a name given to Jesus? If you read the Bible believing that the Bible is the Word of God it gives you a very different message from reading it with the understanding that Jesus being the Word of God.
What does it mean when it says that God is a spirit and we must worship him in spirit?
