Questions and Answers

Some people I know lost their eldest son at the age of seven through a farm accident, they believe he came to salvation many years ago but has backslid over the years. I struggle with trying to come at this tragedy from a biblical perspective. Other well meaning folks have said to them that it could be God's way of bringing them back (and to) fellowship with Him. They cannot accept this and is in fact driving them away. I guess it comes down to the oldest question of them all "why did God allow this to happen?" As a family (2 other younger children ) they are really suffering.
For the first time recently I noticed in Revelation 22:1-2 that it says "And he shewed me a pure river of water of life, clear as crystal, proceeding out of the throne of God and of the Lamb. IN THE MIDST of the street of it, AND ON EITHER SIDE of the river, was there the tree of life, which bare twelve manner of  fruits, and yielded her fruit every month: and the leaves of the tree were for the healing of the nations."
The creatures mentioned in Ezekiel's vision, first chapter of Ezekiel, later four living creatures in Revelation 7:11, without mention of the faces. Are these the same creatures and do they represent the four gospels?
In Ezekiel, chapters 40-47, is this a future setup of what has to happen with Israel as nation in the future? What is the period?
Will we actually recognize our friends and relations who have accepted Christ and died before us on this earth. I am not sure of the biblical teaching on this point, I have asked several people and have got differing answers.
In Genesis chapter 6:18, the Bible says that God told Noah and his household to enter the ark before the great flood. In Ezekiel chapter 14:20, the Bible says Noah will be saved without his household. Who is the Noah of Genesis and that of Ezekiel?
